Lula Hobo Handbag for Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons

Hey Chictistas!
Here's a fabulous new bag from Baby Phat to help you work this seasons's floral trend. I absolutely love the all over floral and butterfly print with black offsetting the hobo. I could probably do withouth the hanging tassles in front but the angled zippers make up for that. It has multifunctional pockets on the inside and a zip top to secure your belongings inside. It also comes in white, but you're clumsy like me you may want to stick to the black. Buy it at babyphat.com for $56, regular $70.

Boho Casual Chic...
Here's an outfit I put together last year when I worked at Honolua Surf Co. I was going for a casual boho type feel. The top is a purple magenta top with dark purple trimmings on the shoulders, around the neck and on the front. A white cami is layered underneath so that the top is not very revealing. The bottom has that frayed look to it. The shorts is navy blue with silver vertical lines. Both the shorts and top are Honolua Wahine, the bag is a black Element bag; very room and chic. A simple peace sign necklace adornes the outfit, to complete the outfit I would pair it would a white or khaki color wedge shoe keeping it casual.

Jeggings...
The first time I heard about Jeggings was in class the other day as we were discussing drawing pants. Apparently they are one of the newest and hottest trends of the season. "Jeggings" are a combinatin of jeans and leggings that are made from cotton, polyester, and spandex to give that painted on look. They have that 80's retro look and for a chic n' petite fashionista gives that mile long Julia Roberts legs. You can do super trendy or super chic, mid to low rise whatever! You can find many of them for as low as $50 on sites such as Newport News. Macy's website has Lucky Brand Jeggings for $35.77. Not sure how it would work on my growing baby bump but I think it's worth the try....

Chic Petite and Pregnant
As a curvy petite it is hard to find clothes that fit and are flattering. Lately I've had problems with finding a comfortable pair of shorts that doesn't have a sagging crotch area. Also, being 5 months pregnant has added to the challenge. I recently ordered the Bella Band from eBay and am hopeful it'll help. I've read a few things on the Bell Band and it's designed to help you continue to wear your current clothing. The bottom hem is double sewn to better grip your shorts, pants or skirts. I haven't gotten it yet but I will post my experience with it soon! I don't want to invest in a lot of maternity clothing because they are costly and I probably won't need them much after I have the baby. Another solution is to purchase clothes in a larger size because they can always be hemmed for continued use. So far I've seen things on eBay and in stores, I'm also researching the best designers for petite and curvy clothings. Baby Phat, Ann Taylor and Donna Karan so far are my top names that I like but I'm still continuing my search.
