I wasn't all into the whole "Royal Wedding" brouhaha but I have to say that Kate Middleton looked absolutely stunning in a gown designed by Sarah Burton. Burton most notably took over Alexander Mcqueen's house after the designer's death last year. Kate's gown showcases exqusite details such as the lace flowers hand-cut and hand engineered onto the silk ivory tulle with gentle padding on the hips invoking a Mcqueen trait the Victorian silhoutte. Arches and pleates giving the skirt of the dress volume. The back of the gown showcased 58 organza covered buttons and the train was an impressive 9 feet in length. Her "halo tiara", given to her by the queen, was held in place by a whispery silk-tulle gently sweeping across her face. A stunning royal bride indeed!
